About Gymnasium

Edited

Gymnasium is a coaching-led strength and conditioning gym group with five locations across London. We're designed for people who want structure, expert coaching, and real progress — whatever their starting point.

We're also a certified B Corporation, meaning we're independently verified to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

FAQs

1. What makes Gymnasium different from other gyms?

A few things set us apart:

  • Every class is coached — you're guided, corrected, and supported throughout

  • Community is central — we design workouts to be shared, mix members up, and run regular events and socials

  • Programming is planned — training follows structured blocks with purpose, not random workouts

  • We're a B Corporation — our commitment to people, community, and the environment is written into how we operate

2. What is a B-Corp and why does it matter?

B-Corp is a globally recognised sustainability credential. To certify, Gymnasium met rigorous standards across five areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. These principles are embedded in our Articles of Association, placing impact on people and planet alongside profit in every decision we make.

3. Where are your locations?

We have five gyms across London: Brixton, Kennington, Twickenham, Wandsworth, and Ealing.

4. Are you a CrossFit gym?

Yes — all our gyms are registered CrossFit Affiliates. Alongside CrossFit, we offer a range of other classes to support well-rounded fitness, accessibility, and injury prevention.

5. Are you a Hyrox gym?

Yes — we are a certified Hyrox partner gym. Our Hyrox classes are designed to develop the specific skills, endurance, and strength needed for Hyrox events, led by certified trainers with specialist knowledge.

6. Do you offer personal training?

We don't offer one-to-one personal training. We believe group coaching provides the best combination of support, motivation, and progression — enhanced by the expertise of our qualified coaches. We run weekly skills clinics and Open Gym sessions staffed by a coach for members who want to work on specific areas.

7. Do you run events and socials?

Yes — events and socials are a big part of Gymnasium life. You'll find fitness events like team throwdowns, Hyrox simulations, and benchmark testing days, as well as community challenges, charity fundraisers, BBQs, brunches, and the occasional night out. Everyone is welcome, whatever their level.
